Carving Pumpkins

Yesterday we carved pumpkins with our good friends Mike and Katie. It was a lot of fun. This was the first time I carved a pumpkin with a stencil. We also decided to carve a pumpkin for Stitch. Jared carved Stitch's name in the pumpkin, however he carved his name really big in the small pumpkin we got him.

Labor Day

For Labor Day we spent the day at my grandparents house. We took Stitch in the pool with us and it took him a while to actually enjoy it. Our good friends, Mike and Katie, along with little Cayden came over to spend the day. Stitch loved Cayden and spent time with him on his little pool floaty. After a fun time in the pool we BBQed hamburgers, played some pool and roasted marshmallows. Such a fun day!

Stitch Goes to the Beach

A while ago Jared and I took Stitch to the beach for the first time. He loved running in the sand and meeting all the other dogs. He made some friends with two other yorkie puppies, Grizzly and Bear. It was so cute watching them run and play. However, he wanted nothing to do with the ocean. Jared tried to take him in, and Stitch ran straight into my lap and wouldn't leave.

Palm Springs Trip

A few weeks ago, Jared and I went to Palm Springs for the weekend. We went to visit my brother for his birthday. We were only able to see him on Sunday, so on Saturday we decided to take the Aerial Tram up the mountain. It was such a beautiful view and sooo much cooler. We did a nice little nature walk and just had a great time.

The main point of the trip was to visit my little brother. I love him so much and I am so proud of him for all that he is doing to better his life. It was so good to see him after a little over a month and it was great to see such a big difference in him, not just physical. I love him so much and I can't wait until he comes back home.

Happy Birthday Jared!!!

My amazing husband turned 26 years old on August 16th. He was a very lucky guy that weekend. For breakfast one day I made him Coffee Cake. For dinner one night I made him one of his favorite dinners, Empinada's (see my other blog for the reciepe). For his birthday dinner we went, with Jared's family, to his favorite pizza place, Naples, in Downtown Disney. After dinner we all went back to our apartment for cake. I wanted to make a special cake for Jared's birthday. Every year I make him a cake, and this year I wanted to make something special that he wouldn't expect. All of you know that Jared works for himself making apps for the Android market, so I thought I would make a cake around that.
