A New Chapter

I am so pleased to announce that Jared got his acceptance into Cal State Fullerton. We are so happy and excited for him to start this Fall!

Since starting at Fullerton JC, Jared has been working hard to get into the Cal State school and was hoping to start this Spring semester. However, with the budget cuts in California, the Cal State schools were not accepting new students for the Spring 2010 semester. We are so grateful that Jared was able to get accepted for the Fall 2010 semester!!! I am so grateful for my wonderful husband who works so hard to make our life better. Congrats Hunny!!!!

Disney On Ice: World of Fantasy

For Christmas I got Chloe tickets to Disney on Ice: World of Fantasy in Long Beach. It was a lot of fun to get to spend time with my sister. We both really enjoyed the show and since I am such a Disney nut I had to sing a long to all the songs.

New Years 2009

This year we wanted to keep New Years low key. We were invited to dinner at Jared's parents house. Nona made empanadas and they were amazing! After dinner we took Micah to see Avatar in 3D. That was such an amazing movie! I didn't think I would actually like the movie as much as I did, but it was a really good movie.

We made it out of the movie before midnight so we were able to get home before the crazy people left their parties. I hope that everyone had a great New Year!

Christmas 2009

To start out our Christmas celebration we took a limo to LA to see 'The Grinch Musical'. First we stopped and had dinner at Bella Cucina Italiana in Hollywood. That restaurant was so yummy!!! After dinner we went to the musical at the Pantages Theater. It wasn't the best musical I have seen but it was a fun way to get into the Christmas spirit.

Christmas Eve was a nice relaxing day. We were going to go to Disneyland with my family but my mom hurt her back so we decided to do something that didn't require her to walk around a lot. So we decided to have breakfast at Mimi's Cafe and then see 'Alvin and the Chipmunks' movie. I am such a little kid at heart, so of course I liked the movie. After the movie we spent the rest of the day with Jared's family. We hung out at the house, the boys played football and had a great dinner. It was a lot of fun to watch the kids get all excited for Santa to come that night.
Christmas Day we woke up early and went to Jared's families house to open presents and have scones for breakfast. They were sooooo good!!! Jared's parents got me a cute necklace and Jared got 'The History of the Church' book set. Then we hurried over to my parents house for presents. My parents are taking us all on a cruise in June to Mexico. Christmas Day was full of running cause after my parents house we hurried to my Grandparents house. It was fun to open presents with my family. Jared and I got some fun things like Disneyland passes. Presents were followed by a great fried chicken dinner and fun games.

Christmas was a lot of fun this year. We are so grateful that we have our families so close to us.

Kelsea's Blanket

A couple months ago, Jared's little sister, Kelsea, was watching me make one of my baby blankets and asked if I would make a blanket for her. I decided to make one for her for Christmas this year. She loved it! This is what I came up with.
