A Fun Read

So, my mom has been wanting me to read these books by Traci Hunter Abramson. I finally sat down the other day, and it never put the book down. In two days I read two of her books and I am looking forward to going to Deseret Book to purchase the third. Traci, used to be a CIA agent and then left to become a full time mother. She decided to write her stories that centered around the CIA and other Government organizations. If you like books that are like that, with a romantic twist, you will LOVE her books!

"When CIA agent Janessa Rogers meets the royal family of Meridia on assignment, she expects to use her skills in linguistics and security detail to protect and serve, but she doesn't expect to find herself engaged to Prince Garrett Fortier, Meridia's most eligible bachelor, as part of the security plan. And she certainly doesn't expect to fall in love with him."

"Brent Miller and his four Navy Seal Teammates work together to rescue 7 hostages in the Middle East. Then, by accident, he and Amy Whitmore, a LDS senator's daughter are left behind and need to depend on each other to find a way out."

Beach Day

I love Saturdays! This morning we helped move my great grandma into my other grandparents house. It was hard getting up early to do that, but thankfully we got done quickly. Since we got done early in the day, Jared and I decided to take advantage of this beautiful weather we have been having here in Souther California. We took a trip down to Huntington Beach where I layed out and read my book, while Jared went skimboarding. There was some people taping stuff for a new VH1 show and they taped Jared a little bit while he was skimboarding. He is pretty stoked about that! Jared's parents met up with us later and we spent time with them. Of course we couldnt leave Huntington without eating a burger from the best burger place... TK Burger. Mmmm.... it was so good.

We feel so grateful to live in Southern California, where we can go to the beach whenever we want. Hopefully this summer we can go to the beach a lot... we are hoping to plan a bon fire after school gets out!!

Playing Hookie

So, Jared and I had our Spring Break last week and decided that we wanted to take a day off of work. The weather was really nice so we drove down to Balboa and rented beach cruisers. It was so much fun!! We rode almost to Huntington! Now we want to buy bikes so we can do this more often. After the bike ride we had lunch at Rubys on the Balboa Pier then went back home and watched Marley & Me. I thought that was a really cute movie, but a very sad ending. Now, we are trying to figure out when we are going to take another day off of work to just go play at the beach.

Happy 9th Birthday Chloe!

My little sister turned 9 years old on Monday, March 30. I can't believe that she is already 9 and in 3rd grade. For her birthday we went to Disneyland as a family and had dinner at Ariel's Grotto. The food was so good, but it was so expensive. Chloe brought her best friend Brittney with her and the girls had a lot of fun. At dinner all the Disney princesses were walking around taking pictures and signing autographs for all the kids. Chloe and Brittney took pictures with Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Belle, and so did I. The next day my mom and I took Chloe shopping for her birthday. She got a lot of fun, cute clothes. I love shopping with Chloe because she is like my Barbie doll. I love you Goober!
