Tennis Anyone????

So, Jared and I are trying to get into shape and we are looking for new, fun, interesting ways to do it. I don't like to run all the time because I get bored of it, so we started playing Smash Ball. That is a game that is normally played on the beach. It is like tennis, but with no net and you jusy hit the ball back and forth. Jared and I have gotten pretty good at that game. Then at the Rummler Family Reunion over the 4th of July weekend, we tried playing badminton. That was a lot of fun and we got pretty good at it. After we got home we then wanted to broaden our horizon and try out tennis. So we bought a racket for me and Jared borrowed his dad's. Well, we aren't that good. We have only been a couple times and seem to get a little better each time we go. So, unless you are really, really good... Anyone up for tennis????

The Dark Knight

Saturday night, Jared and I went to The Block and saw The Dark Knight movie. That was such an amazing movie. Normally, the first movie in a sequil is better, however, in this case the second blew the first Batman away. There were so many suprises throughout the movie and things I never thought would happen. If you haven't seen it yet YOU MUST SEE IT!!! Its been two days since Jared and I saw it and I am still in awe. The movie made $153.34 million dollars opening weekend! Spiderman only made $151 million on its opening weekend... now we know who the better hero is. (Jared and I are Batman fans. Sorry to anyone who is a Spiderman fan.)

Heath Ledger did an amazing job in this movie. There were a couple of scenes that I couldn't tell it was him as the Joker. He had some mannerisms that were very creepy and made my skin crawl but, I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. He was so mezmorizing in his performance as the Joker.

Family Time In Utah

This past weekend Jared and I went to St. George, UT for a Rummler Family Reunion and to celebrate his grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. We did so many great things while we were there...
On the 4th of July we all met at the Pine Valley State Park for a family picnic and some fun times. Jared and I went on a walk around a small part of the park and saw a deer near our picnic area. We had fun playing games and talking with the family. We had dinner that night at a restaurant called The Pizza Factory... that was amazing pizza. The bread sticks were huge... but so incredibly good!! We went to a nearby park to watch the fireworks, then before heading back to the hotel we lit a couple of our own fireworks in a empty parking lot.

Saturday was probably my favorite day. In the morning, Jared and I got up and did a session at the St. George Temple. That was such a beautiful temple. Jared was talking to one of the men in our session and he said there is about 20+ sealing rooms in the temple. We were able to see some of the sealing rooms. After the temple we hurried to Grandma and Grandpa's house. They had rented a couple things for the kids to play on during the day. One of those things was a rock climbing wall... I had never done it before and was really nervous. So, I did the really easy course (atleats that is what they told me), and Jared did the expert course. Once I got to the top I was very proud of myself for making it to the top because I was getting alittle scared climbing and trying to figure out where my hands and feet were going to go next. When I rang the bell, I looked at the guy in charge of it and asked how I got down... he told me to just hang on to my bungy rope and jump off. It took me a minute to realize what he said and to realize that was the only way down... so I jumped. Some of the other fun things they had were a large slip-n-slide and a huge slide. That night was also Grandma and Grandpa's 50th Anniversary party. So after a day of fun we hurried back to our hotel and got ready for the party. Each family took a family picture before the party started. Then we took a huge family picture.

Go Angels!!!

We haven't had any time to rest since we have been home. Last night we went to an Angels game with Mike and Katie. I got the tickets from my grandparents friends. They have season Diamond Club seats. That was the closest that I have ever sat. Here are some pictures from the event.

Jared and I.... I love my pink Angels hat

This is my favorite thing about games... I love getting these chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches.

The view from our seats!

Rummler's in the Caribbean

We just got home from our amazing honeymoon trip to the Southern Caribbean. We had so much fun and wish we could have stayed longer. We did so many new things on this trip. This was Jared's first cruise, and he loved it. Something we took advantage of on this trip was getting multiple desserts at dinner. Jared was really happy about that.
We started our cruise by flying to San Juan, Puerto Rico. It took us about 10 hours to get there. We ended up getting into Puerto Rico at 12:30pm. The hotel we were staying at that night was crazy. It seemed like they had originally had it as a nightclub then added rooms later. There was loud music going on until around 3am. So, needless to say we didn't get much sleep that night.
This is a picture of our cruise ship. We sailed on the Royal Caribbean "Adventure of the Sea"
Our first island that we went to was Barbados. We took a taxi to another part of the island to go snorkeling. While we were driving we saw where Tiger Woods was married. That was kinda cool. While we were snorkeling we saw a ton of fish, however, I cut my foot on a rock. We also went on jet ski's... that was my first time riding one. It was so much fun. I let Jared do all the driving up until the very end. He was having fun trying to jump over waves and knock me off the boat. Thankfully I didn't fall off.

The second island that we went to was St. Lucia. It was so beautiful. The whole island was like a tropical rain forest. We went on a canopy tour (zip line) excursion. That was probably our favorite excursion that we did. I was really nervous the whole ride there. Our driver didn't help calm my nerves because of how crazy he was driving. After we got there and we got all suited up I started to relax.
Jared and I during our canopy tour on a platform. They made us wear these hair nets because of the rain... so unattractive.
This was about the 3rd platform... I was starting to get the hang of things and was really excited for more lines.
Here I go!!!

There goes Jared!!!
Our guide told us that the last line was the best because it was the longest and the fastest. It was so cool starting out through the trees then all of a sudden there is nothing around you and you can just see the plants and such below you. It was such an amazing feeling and we both can't wait to go again.
The next day we were in Antigua... that was our favorite place. Our guide said that they have 365 beaches... one for every day of the year. At this island we went on a catamaran and snorkel tour. during our snorkel we saw a lot of fish and a stingray. We also went to see a ship wreck. After snorkeling we had lunch on the boat then went to one of the beaches that was in a cove, and hung out there for a while. If we were to go back to any island on this trip it would definately be Antigua.
Jared and I on a water taxi in St. Maarten
Our next stop was St. Maarten... we decided to take a break from the shore excursions and just hang out at the beach. So we rented some beach chairs and also rented a jet ski again. It was a nice relxing day for us.
The last island was St. Thomas. We went on a Kayak and snorkel tour. The kayaking was my favorite. Our guide said that we kayaked for atleast 2 miles and burned 700 calories doing it. We learned so much about the island and the marine life that lived there. We had a little hermet crab race before going snorkeling. While we were in the water we saw a lot of fish, 2 stingrays and 2 baracudas.
